Tomo is a delightful sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant by husband and wife team, Steve Riad and Tina Son.
Chef Steve Riad brings over 25 years of experience to each of his dishes. Prior to opening his restaurant, Steve was a sushi chef at Nobu Las Vegas and also headed the sushi team at Mandalay Bay Casinos.
Diners delight in dishes such as fresh aji (Japanese horse mackerel) just in from Tsukiji fish market in northern Japan, or kampachi, wild yellowtail from the Honolulu fish market. Seasonal delights like abalone clam, live ocean eel, O-toro fatty tuna belly and uni sea urchin are also a specialty.
Tina Son is the maitre d', and provides warm and friendly service to every person walks in the door. She is also the mastermind and artist behind the design of the hip restaurant, including artworks and design. Tina attended FIT's School of Design in New York and her sense of style is evident from wall to wall in the restaurant. She also had worked with Helmut Schardt, the stained glass master craftsman from East Northport, New York for 9 years.
